As the name implies, Kintamani coffee comes from coffee plants that thrive in the highlands of Kintamani – Bali (approximately 900-1250 meters above thesea level). There are two types of coffee Kintamani developed in the Catur Village, which is kind of arabica and robusta coffee. The taste which are slightly sour and fresh becoming its own characteristics. It is because the Kintamani coffee is grown by means of intercropping with citrus plants that also thrive in the area. Currently Kintamani coffee has officially received a certificate of Intellectual Property Rights and has been exported to various countries such as Japan, Europe, America, and Australia.
The fertile soil conditions and cool climate make the Catur Village as a suitable place for cultivating a various types of fruit and vegetables. One of them is a Kintamani Orange becomes the leading agricultural products. The type of orange that are widely developed in the region of Kintamani is siam orange which is usually yellow and slightly greenish which taste sour and fresh. In addition there are also types of slayer orange, if compared to siam Orange, somewhat reddish skin color. The new picked slayer orange tend to be slightly acidic, but it will turn into sweet after stored for 3-4 days.
